Here is what I found after spending a couple of hours to find what was wrong: when "Show custom field" is set to "Yes" or "Yes as link" (I think this is the default ?) but the custom field ID is an invalid value, then the plugin is not displayed at all.

I don't know how an initial value for a custom field id is being selected by the plugin, but in my case I have deleted all the pre-set SOBI2 fields and defined my own. They start from id=17 and I had an already set value of 4 in the "Custom field ID" setting which I simply paid no attention to. So what happened in my case is that I never saw the plugin and started researching and debugging for hours;)

I might have messed it (I installed and uninstalled the plugin several times) and I don't know how possible a scenario like that is in general, but it may be a very embarrassing experience to someone new to the plugin. So my suggestion is to please fix it so that it would just ignore an invalid custom field id value and still work (maybe showing a notice or some other warning).

The default value of Custom field ID is 13 which is the description originally.
If you set invalid value than the plugin won't work.
You are right, it is not user friendly
I will implement a warning message to the next version.

I didn't implement warning message. In the new (0.4) version you can select published custom field insted of writing the ID value. I think this is better solution.

Sure, this sounds like a better solution.
My point was that the new user might just consider the plugin "not-working" when he sees nothing in the worst-case scenario when he has not selected a custom field or the default one doesn't exist.
